Michael William Reynolds is a fingerstyle, acoustic and electric guitarist / composer / singer / songwriter residing on the Western Slope of Colorado.  While originally from central Pennsylvania, Michael has called Colorado home for nearly 50 years.

Michael started playing guitar at age 10 and has never stopped.  He has played both individually (fingerstyle original compositions) as well as in a band setting (rock cover tunes and originals).

Michael credits such artists as fingerstyle guitar players Michael Hedges and Alex de Grassi, singer/songwriters Neil Young, Dan Fogelberg and Bruce Cockburn as well as many others as important influences on his music.

Currently, the following 3 compositions are included with Michael’s musical offerings and were performed and recorded using both standard and alternate tunings.

Fickle Wind (Feat. Jessica Seibert, viola) –  This lyrical song played with fingerstyle guitar and viola accompaniment captures those emotions experienced surrounding the tragedy of a hypothetical male suicide.  As we know, those close may not be able to understand or accept this event, while some people may embrace the reality of it and grieve the loss.  And yet others may cope by discussing the weather.

Etude for Ann –  The classical term ‘etude’ refers to a composition that represents a ‘practice’ piece for a musician/instrument while also possessing artistic merit.  This instrumental piece, dedicated to Michael’s wife, Cynthia Ann, was created to express an artistic flow while also emphasizing various new/novel guitar fretboard movements.

Leap Frog -  Playing the game of ‘Leap Frog’ as a boy with his brothers always included a certain consistent and playful energy.  Michael feels that this instrumental piece has much of that same energy, hence the name!
